Accomplishments
Longwood University has been a place of self growth and great accomplishments for myself both personally, academically, and professionally. Through classes that are provided within the Communication Department, I have been able to gain a great understanding for what kind of professional road I would like to take. This road was paved by the professors and projects that inspired me.
Through hands-on projects, papers, and more I have been able to further my education and professional experience, while gaining a better understanding of what working in the public relations field will be like.

Linked below is the prospectus that I collected research for and compacted over a semester-long process. The prospectus focuses on the impact of racial-based communication styles and its impact on the effectiveness of storytelling. Currently, I am collecting data for a senior thesis that will potentially support the hypotheses that were created for my prospectus.

As a co-team leader, my group and I conducted a professional audit for a department on campus by collecting survey results, conducting interviews, and determining the communication skills of the department. All results were revealed during an exciting presentation and booklet that was given to the department. For reasons of confidentiality, I have taken the name of the department out of the audit report in order to secure the results

This Chipotle campaign was created for a communications class to exemplify my persuasive skills in advertising. A twitter account was also created to further the credibility of the campaign.

During my time at Longwood, I had the opportunity to bring a non profit fundraiser to the campus. Titled “The Campaign for Sean”, this fundraiser focused on an individual named Sean who was fighting Ewings Sarcoma, a rare type of cancer (which he just recently beat!). Through this project, money was raised to go towards Sean’s chemo treatments by the selling of shirts and towels. Furthermore, my team and I created a booklet that outlines how we managed to make this a successful campaign.
